WebCurrently, gifted education is established and determined at the state level as there is no federal requirement. In New Jersey, we have recently (January 2024) passed the Strengthening Gifted and Talented Education Act into law which mandates local school district requirements to identify and serve our gifted students. WebOn January 13, 2024, the New Jersey legislature passed the Strengthening Gifted Education Act. This bill requires New Jersey public schools to identify gifted and talented students, grades K-12, and provide appropriate educational services.
