WebJun 3, 2024 · It's definitely coming from the overflow tube which the cap seals unless the pressure gets too high. It's a 21psi cap... I think I'm going to replace that and see what happens. All I know is I'm really hoping I don't have a bad head gasket. That's the only other way I can think of getting air into the system. WebAug 2, 2024 · The pressure increase may cause your radiator cap to "burp" into your reservoir. However, bubbling and boiling are NOT normal. There is a big difference. That being said, it's cheap and easy to replace your radiator cap with a new properly rated quality cap. If the old one is failing it can be venting at too low of a pressure. My RHD TJ …
